From the best-selling author of Under the Breaking Sky comes the next heart-pounding chapter in the alien invasion saga.

Veronica thought facing terminal cancer was the hardest thing she'd ever had to do. Then came the infection—and the horrifying realization that, unlike the others, the alien virus didn't change her. Now stranded on a remote island with her infected family-in-law, Veronica must protect her young niece from becoming the next victim.

Meanwhile, Tim and his daughter seek shelter back at the cabin—only to discover that the alien-mutants have caught on, and nowhere is truly safe anymore.

Invaders 2 delivers relentless survival horror and chilling suspense, perfect for fans of The Mist, The Thing, and A Quiet Place. Brace yourself for a nerve-shredding fight for life against forces beyond human understanding.

Bittersweet ending. I’ll miss ‘nica. (SPOILER ALERT) Helena is the opposite of smart, she should have died instead (if you’re safe in the house, why would you NEED to go outside at night, ALONE, to find out what’s up with the chickens!!?? SERIOUSLY???)
Anyway, BRING ON BOOK #3!!!

Edge of seat, fast paced story

I liked the father, daughter and dog. Everyone else were too stupid, assholes, or both to live. Arrogance, stupidity and a plethora of bad choices really made these characters come to life. They really came across as what you would expect from people who live on a small island. The media was, surprisingly neutral about what was going on. The government did what they universally do; lie, cover their asses, and run for the hills while telling everyone else to just stay calm, stay indoors and everything would be fine. I look forward to book 3 when it is released.

Really well written characters and a plausible story

I was as entertained by this book as much as the first one. Although there were several characters' stories taking place at the same time, the chapter heading listed which character's story was being addressed at that point in the book. I thought this format helped the story to be fast moving and action filled and kept my attention focused on the tale. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I enjoyed Spencer Dillehay's narration as his performance was expressive and riveting. I was given a copy of the audiobook. I volunteered, without financial gain, to post this review which reflected my honest opinions regarding this audiobook.
