Great addition to the storyline. Wanted a little more swashbuckling vs intrigue but understand the need to mix it up. Overall another home run in the series!

A little slow in the last few chapters

A story with a different twist. Kydd ends up running protection for an inventor, who could win the war for Britain. Very little excitement in this one, but still interesting. Rodska does his usually great job.

Like the previous book by the same author I enjoyed it greatly
and I find the listening to the Narrator of these audio books
very good.

Invasion is #10 in the series and I have enjoyed listening to all the previous installments.

Kydd is a Winner

Despite the negative reviews some have written about this book, I found it deeply entertaining and thought provoking. In this, and the previous book in the series, Stockwin shows himself to be far more than a blood and thunder writer of war novels. He digs deeper into questions of morality, personal motivation and conflicting sensibilities. The interplay between the very different personalities of Kydd and Remzi is by turns strained and heart-warming as ever. There is sufficient action, but this novel could more fairly be described as a psychological thriller than an action novel. I personally found it very satisfying and entertaining.
