Isabelle Wareham, whilst caring for her beloved widowed father, has not seen much of the world. After his death, Isabelle finds she is no longer her own mistress but under the guardianship of her unscrupulous brother-in-law, Lord Dunsfold, who sees her as a way to improve his own fortunes.

Another splendour from Ms. Holloway. So clean, heartwarming, respectable and pleasant. Her heros are always honourable and gallant. Some bits where funny. I jut love love love it. The Narrator is a favourite of mine.

Wonderful narrator enhances wonderfully written story. Humor, drama, and romance will appeal to fans of Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer.
The hero and heroine fall genuinely in love through getting to know each other and shared experiences, which feels very believable.
A pleasure that the hero is honorable and loyal, and that he and his two friends are immensely likeable.
And refreshing that the heroine is strong and courageous without being abrasive or aggressive, but instead is loving, gentle, and practical.
And the three villains are suitably loathsome!
