From the New York Times bestselling author of Jake Undone, comes a full-length standalone companion novel and epic conclusion to the Jake Series.

A different side to the story: Jake's side.

"We're getting a new roommate," they said.

I thought nothing of it...until she walked in the door. Her hand trembled in mine as she looked at me with fearful eyes. My entire world spun on its axis.

Nina...

It was a mismatch made in heaven: innocent girl from the boonies moves in with a tattooed, pierced, badboy.

I came up with a bet, a plan to tutor her in math and coach her through her phobias. What I wasn't betting on was becoming addicted to her.

But I was living a double life on weekends, and once she found out about it, she'd be gone.

I had to protect myself and that meant one thing: I couldn't fall in love.

In Jake Understood, pivotal scenes from Jake Undone are retold from Jake's point of view combined with ALL-NEW material from both the past and present time after Jake Undone left off. While it could stand alone, if both books are listened to, it should follow Jake Undone (Jake #1). In this book, listeners of My Skylar (Jake #2) will also get to catch up with the beloved characters, Mitch and Skylar, for a glimpse of their life beyond My Skylar.

Enjoyed this story and look into Jake's story and his thoughts from the first book, Jake Undone. This fills in some interesting blanks and still has the steamy scenes with his side. And having almost entirely Christian Fox narrating is 💋
🔥🔥🔥

I actually liked this book better than the first Jake book. There was a ton of new dialogue, plus hearing events from Jake’s POV was interesting. Living Jake & Nina’s trials throughout their love story had me emotionally invested; I hurt & celebrated with each of them.

I could do without the tattoos & facial/ piercings, but I get they were part of Jake’s bad boy persona.

Christian Fox was so perfect as Jake (he was Jake); Desiree Ketchum was good as Nina, other than sometimes sounding super nasal.

I simply loved the story, beginning to end, with all its heartache, surprises, & ultimate joy. Read/listen to it.

Oh, Jake & Nina!

I enjoyed the story from Jake’s POV, plus the extra story that wasn’t in Jake Undone. Christian Fox always delivers excellent & emotive narration. Enjoyed Desiree Ketchum as well.

Because of it being a repeat of the first book in the series, I found it very boring. We got Jake’s point of view in the first book. We didn’t need to go through this all over again. I didn’t finish listening to the book. I got bored after the first two hours.
