I had previously read books by the author in the zombie genre, but I wasn't sure what to expect from this one. I am happy to say that I enjoyed this book a lot, even though the genre is one I rarely read. It is well-written, with great character development and world building, all wrapped up in a great story.

Taunya is a vessel for Mankind's Champion, Jinxx, but she is reluctant to give over control to her "other half". But, when the battle against evil heats up and she is forced to fight demons like she has never seen before, she has to give in.

This book reminded me of other superhero stories, but it was never boring. Full of great characters, awesome battle scenes, a bit of romance, and just enough humor, it is a quick read and wildly entertaining. I also liked the nerdy touches brought by Taunya's brother, Skylar, with his great inventions. The book ends on a bit of cliffhanger and I look forward to more adventures with Jinxx and friends.

The narrator was perfect for the book and her performance added a lot to this already wonderful book.

I have read The Zombie Theorem series and loved it so I decided to give this one a try. I don't usually listen to demon stories but this one is good, in the not so graphically violent way. I love Zombie books but can't deal with evil possession I guess. :P Anyhow, Jinxx and Taunya must learn to work together to save the world from Demon Domination. Taunys brother Skylar, is like James Bond's Mr. Q. The gizmos and gadgets he develops for Taunya/Jinxx are incredible and deadly. Robert, her protector has served the family for decades, as has all his family members throughout the generations. Looking forward to listening to Jinxx 2.

The Story itself was interesting, though could have been fleshed out more. Hard to follow at times. very interested in a sequel and to see how the author improves his craft.

Loved this book! Was tied in from the beginning- caught my attention with the awesome story of Jinxx and Taunya, had to stick around to see how their story played out. Wasn't disappointed!
