Pepper Basham combines the best of British and Appalachian cultures together to create this amazing romance!!!
There is comedy from the beginning. I loved the attraction between Eisley and Wes. I loved the matchmakers behind the scenes. The excitement of hunting for treasures in the family history was an amazing part of the story. The sweet, mind-numbing kisses are not to be missed. I think my favorite part is the theme of faith and forgiveness that runs throughout the story.
You cannot miss proper British gentleman meeting Nate Jenkins, the slightly protective father of Eisley Barrett.

I read this story a couple of years ago and loved it.
This audio version brought a whole new side of the story to life. Catherine Gaffney's narration was excellent!
All the characters and all their accents, I don't know how she does it but I loved it!

I highly, highly recommend this audiobook!

This is one of my favorite novels! I have read it in the past and decided to get the audio book to enjoy during commutes. I loved listening to the audio version just as much as I did reading the original story. The narrator did a wonderful job with the accents and I hope to listen to her again in the future. I highly recommend.

I loved how the author weaves humor throughout the story. I also appreciate the minimal angst (which I never enjoy in a story.) In a world full of negative, heavy and burdensome circumstances I really needed this lighthearted escape! Thanks!
