Would you try another book from Katie Nicholl and/or Sue Pitkin?

Probably not.

What was most disappointing about Katie Nicholl’s story?

Kate is lovely and inspiring to many. So her story seemed like it would be interesting. It wasn't. A privileged girl enters the privileged set then the poor thing has to deal with being famous. The fawning narrative had the opposite effect and turned me off.

I truly wanted to understand the fascination - but this book is like a really long press release.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Sound more matter of fact and less fawning.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No.

Fawning

This was an interesting story but nothing deeply revealing or insightful. The information about Catherine’s background and childhood was interesting. If you have followed her closely through the years there isn’t much new.

Interesting, But Nothing Really New

Really enjoyed it. This is me meeting the 15 word minimum requirement to leave a review.

Katie Nicholl is an English Royal reporter and her knowledge is well researched and truthful. I was disappointed with the narration as Sue Pitkin pronounced several words incorrectly - maybe for an American audience! As a true blue Brit myself who speaks the Queen’s English, I found this a little annoying and wanting to correct her .... 🤔

Enjoyable - but ........

The book was decent, with one or two new bits of insider information. The performance was not good as there were a multitude of mispronounciations.

Casual read
