The story is fine. The ai generated narration was abysmal. The voice was inconsistent with previous Keller stories. He regularly emphasized the wrong syllable in words and did not change the emphasis of words in sentences. Doesn't anyone check these things? You're Audible and I expect much better.

Lawrence block is a tremendous author, but robot narration robs all of his characters of their depth and color, and blocks lyrical dialogue is left wooden and flat. Odd pronunciations, outright mispronunciations, and syntactical glitches make it unlistenable. If AI narration turns out to be the way Audible is going, I will cancel my membership without a second thought.

History is about human emotions. A computer reading it leaves the reader disinterested and disappointed.

Last of emotion

Obvious robot voice, not ready for prime time. Characters lose emotion, story loses subtext that comes through text or even mediocre narration.
