Kenya Williams is the First Lady of a fast-growing church. Her husband once had an affair that rocked the church.

Just as their marriage begins to fully heal David and Kenya begin to have problems again. Kenya wonders if she did right by forgiving him. The issue of course is she enjoys being a First Lady.

Alan Houston is a heartbroken Ph.D. He put his dreams off for a lovely woman named Jasmine. Jasmine was looking for happily ever after—right now. When her timetable doesn’t coincide with Alan’s, she considers leaving.

Alan's primary goal is to open a trauma facility for black men to have a safe space to meet. The thing is he’s locked in on his career and considering giving up on love. That is until his friend Troy invites him to church. Church brings back memories of both trauma and hope.

This is a story of temptation, drama, tension and redemption.

This was a good read, I enjoyed the journey they went on. I like how it ended.

Narration: It was my first virtual narration I didn’t know what to expect but I actually enjoyed it. The flow was natural for the most part. The occasional AI pronunciation was entertaining not annoying.

Story: I appreciate that this book presents the human conflicts that Christians may face. Everyone has their own cross to bear regardless of how wonderful things may seem on the outside. It also incorporates scripture in a very readable and relevant way.

However if you are looking for a “clean” novel be aware that this story still contains profanity and mature content.

Overall it is an easy, entertaining and engaging listen with strong moral lessons and introspection.

Storyline was very hitting the nail on the head about a lot that goes on in a church in real life. How we need to look to God for answers but God puts people in our lives for a reason plus a season. Great audio book.
