Dragons of Tirene is now a complete five-book series!

A world of magic, desire, and intrigue awaits at Flighthaven, where a young woman defies the odds to find her true calling.

Nineteen-year-old Lark Axton has lived her entire life sequestered behind the castle's walls, overshadowed by her overprotective mother. Now, the king has ordered Lark to assume her missing sister’s role as a warrior in training at Aclaris’s flight academy, where the kingdom's sons and daughters train to battle their winged enemies and control dragons.

There’s just one problem. Lark is terrified of flying.

Forced to the deadly training grounds of Flighthaven, Lark must survive the danger that stalks the academy if she wants to uncover the truth behind her sister’s disappearance and survive the upcoming treacherous trial. Unfortunately, her sinfully irresistible, arrogant and downright irritating flight instructor is determined to make her life hell.

But enemies lurk within the academy, and no one is who they seem, including Lark herself. As the trial begins, the same explosive secrets that tore Lark's sister away from Flighthaven now threaten Lark.

With her life hanging in the balance, Lark's ability to unlock the secret magic within her will either save...or kill her.

Kingdom of Shadows and Wings weaves the thrill of dragons, elemental magic, and forbidden romance into an exhilarating fantasy adventure that’s perfect for fans of Fourth Wing and Zodiac Academy.

I don’t even want to finish this book due to the virtual voice. It’s absolutely horrible. This book needs to be redone with a real person otherwise this isn’t worth it.

Virtual voice—terrible

Despite the distractions listening to virtual voice I was still captivated by the book. But the virtual voice is very bad! Weird high pitch inflection at the wrong moments, can’t always figure out words with apostrophe, no change in the voices of characters so sometimes hard to understand who is speaking. Overall I wouldn’t listen again to this book or any with virtual voice. You would do better reading it on kindle unlimited which is how I will be reading the rest of the series.

Virtual voice fail

Every time it’s supposed to say “I’m” it says “ I apostrophe M” and the punctuation and grammar pauses throw off the whole flow of the book. I can overlook the voice bc this book sounds like it’s actually good and I was really excited to listen to it but idk if I can overlook the grammar and punctuation and everything else that’s wrong with this ai voice. There’s literally better ai voices around too so I just don’t understand

Terrible decision to do virtual voice

The part that stood out the most was the virtual voice…. It made it hard to listen to and was not relaxing. You can definitely zone out to it but you will not retain anything from listening.

Overall a Entertaining read

The story is not bad but something about a romance novel with lots of uncertainty and misunderstanding by the protagonist and her lover just doesn't appeal to me. I always find myself asking, "why doesn't she just talk to him and find out how he thinks and feels?" I'm sure theer arepeople who will like this but it's just not for me. The AI voice doesn't do it any favors either. It was free though so there's that.
