Unseasonable winter storms descend on the small central Florida city of Rey Mar, as an ancient Haitian vampire named Sangria-Maria spreads her demon's wings to cast a shadow of blood and terror over the entire community. Each man she takes becomes an Undead, bestial predator known as a loogaroo. A wealthy contractor who sees deep conspiracies all around him, his violent and broken teenage son, a former high school teacher embroiled in scandal, a coward and weakling willing to do anything at all to avoid death, and a soldier turned guidance counselor, must struggle with each other and the occult horrors preying on them, while a silent, invisible group of spirits, victims of the past, bloody slaughters and atrocities that have been enacted here at the end of King's Road, watch with avid interest from the shadows, wondering which of these interlopers will end up joining them for all eternity...
