She was chosen to save the world, he was chosen to end it. They weren't supposed to be enemies but love had other plans...

After losing the only person who ever loved her — her mother — seventeen-year-old Atlas Morgan feels like her world is falling apart, only to discover that the end is truly near.

The mystical river that has protected the fragile human world from the demonic invasion will run dry by midnight of the winter solstice. The paranormal community known as the Shadows was given seven chances to replenish the river… And they have failed six times. In a desperate attempt to prevent the bloodbath and the destruction of humankind, the Shadows choose a mortal: Atlas.

Still drowning in grief and sorrow, Atlas musters up the courage and accepts her role as the chosen one, not realizing where the true danger lies.

Werewolves, vampires and witches seek to destroy her, but it’s love that’s going to be her undoing...

I struggled with the AI voice. No emotion in it and just made it awful to listen to. Couldn't finish it.

This book has poor writing structure, tempo, and storyline. I highly regret downloading it and spending my credit on it. The AI narrator does not follow appropriate inflection when narrating or tempo and I can’t tell if that’s due to the authors writing or the fact that they use AI. Highly disappointing.

Can’t tell what’s worse. The AI narration or the writing itself
