His Innocent Wife

The last thing Gaetano Leonetti wants is to be shackled in marriage, but to become CEO of his family's bank, his grandfather has decreed Gaetano must find a nice, ordinary woman to wed.

Convinced his grandfather is mad, Gaetano sets about proving him wrong with housekeeper Poppy Arnold. With her outspoken nature and unusual dress sense, she's definitely not wife material!

But it's not long before hardworking, self-sacrificing Poppy charms his grandfather and Gaetano's stuck with a union he didn't want and a bride he sinfully craves! Having set her up to fail, can he really take the precious gift of her virginity?

Strong male and female lead. Each having something to learn about themselves and each other.

The story moves fast and keeps your attention. He needs a fake wife and she needs help for her family. Her quirky personality is what he wants to take advantage of, but gets under his skin and into his heart. His plan failed but he received so much more than he bargained for. She gets her happily ever after.

Nice quick listen. Perfect amount of angst and romance.

The main character is young, 23 I think, and so she’s got that naive thing going on. But she’s so caring and has an inner strength to her that I really liked. She is unapologetically herself even when she’s feeling a bit insecure. The male lead (29) had this foot in mouth syndrome that I’ve come to expect from Lynne Graham ml’s. Just this incorrigible posh boy who cannot for the life of him communicate his feelings because he has both mommy and daddy issues- in serious need of therapy. I was rooting for their love nonetheless because main character was so cool and she deserved HEA. Probably my favorite Lynne Graham so far. Some of her male leads are borderline abusive and it just gets dark. This guy was just immature. I recommend this one. Light hearted quick read.

I like the main character.
