I love Mission City, so I of course I had to grab this little nibblet! Michael Dean's narration honestly gave this short some extra flare. Leo and Quinton are insta hot and they were full steam ahead for the night. This is just an intro of course so stayed tuned. I adored Quinton!

For anyone looking for a complete story, this isn’t it. It’s basically a spicy, slightly angsty extended prologue for another book (not yet released as of this date). Viewed in that context, I think it’s a solid basis for Leo and Quinton’s full story. Leo’s an exhausted, grump of a surgeon who just moved to the area and frequently gets lost in his own head. Quinton is an outgoing, sunshiny man later revealed as a nurse. Sparks fly in bed for the two, but a thoughtless comment from Leo causes sparks of a different kind. I’m looking forward to getting to know them better later on. Michael Dean does a good job narrating the short, consistent with the rest of the Mission City books.

I loved this small taste into the next book in the mission city series. We met Leo in Gideon’s book, and he wasn't the greatest guy. This book starts his redemption arc, and I can already tell its going to be great! This short story was a hot, spicy introduction to Leo and Quinton that leaves you needing more
