River Evans is a twenty-two-year-old attending LSU and entering her senior year. Just before school closes for spring break, she learns her boyfriend, Bryant, did the unthinkable. Not the one to sit around and cry over a man River immediately removes herself from the situation. Now that she is single and ready to mingle, Bryant is hurt and feels the effects of his decisions. Bryant is used to having access to River, and now that past mistakes have caught up with him, he needs her in the worst way.
Irree Daniels is a twenty-five-year-old single father. Being a pharmacist during the day and a notorious drug king at night, he has everything a man could want, except a beautiful woman keeping his bed warm at night. After handing down most of the duties to his right-hand man, Irree finally has time to find love. One encounter with his delivery driver shuts down his search and has him seeing his future in a different light. River and Irree's focus on one another is snatched away before they can truly lock-in. With enemies lurking in the shadows and betrayal around the corner, will they be able to dodge the drama and stay locked in forever? Or will they fold and allow the outside distractions to tear them apart?

Good book

The story line had potential but it lacked severely in details. When I read or listen to a book, I am looking for enough detail to not only keep me engulfed but also to paint a picture of what’s going on in the story. Every time I thought scenes would elaborately painted for a visual, I was disappointed. This book was on fast forward the whole time and turned out to be a dud.

Meh 🫤
