YAY!!! Narration by Zara Ramm! WONDERFUL! Elizabeth Cage and Michael Jones are back! And what a crazy ride it is! This book had lots of twists and turns. I heard there will be a book four! I can't wait! Will try to be patient!

I love Jodi Taylor. I’ll start there. I love the St Mary’s Chronicles especially.
The first book of this series was unusually dark given the author, and I almost didn’t order the second book. In the end, however, I did and was glad, because it took an upturn and was a better book than the first. So of course I was looking forward to this, the third book.

Overall it’s quite good. Narration is excellent, as before. But in places the dialogue between Elizabeth and Michael in Long Shadows has gone just a bit too far over into romantic comedy silliness. If not for that one small flaw, I’d give it all 5 stars.

In this, the 3rd book in the series, we find out more about Elizabeth and her abilities and past. So exciting and well worth the read. Well done Ms. Taylor. Also, Ms Ramm is the perfect voice for this series and St Mary’s.

Finally, the perfect narration performance for Taylor’s style and sense of humor! No one performs Jodi Taylor like Zara Ramm! The first two narrators’ performances were good, but Zara Ramm is perfect!

If you’re a Chronicles of St. Mary’s fan, you’ll find this series quite different, but the characters and story are equally engaging. I hope there will be more Elizabeth Cage books forthcoming!
