Rosey
I never thought I’d be a runaway bride. But when it came down to it, I just couldn’t marry the wrong man.
So, I ran.
And somehow, I ended up in Star Falls, Colorado—stranded, no luggage, no plan—in a wedding dress with a past I’d rather forget.
Fate lands me in the only available rental in town, a cozy little cabin… right next door to Byron Miller, the brooding billionaire who wants nothing to do with me. Or this town.

Byron
I left Star Falls years ago, along with every mistake. Now I’m back, determined to build a luxury resort that might just rewrite my past.
The last thing I need is a distraction—especially not one like the runaway bride that moved in next door. She has too many secrets and a smile so wide, I just can’t look away.
But no matter how hard I try to keep my distance, there’s something about her, that refuses to be ignored.
Snow falls. Sparks fly. Late-night porch talks turn into something more, something neither of us expected. But Rosey’s past isn’t far behind, and my future here is hanging by a thread.
She’s just passing through. I’m trying not to put down roots. But Star Falls, Colorado has its own plan.

A standalone romance, perfect for fans of small-town romance, sizzling chemistry, and fresh starts.

You cannot go wrong with the narrators chosen for this story. Jason channeled his inner broody billionaire and brought Byron to life. And Samantha as Rosey… yes, girl! This small town romance was entertaining and was such a light-hearted listen. The banter, emptions and chemistry were felt in their performance.

So good!

💵 Billionaire Romance

All the swoon, spice, and small-town feels. Byron is honestly GOALS. Immediately to the top of the book boyfriends list. The way he's so selfless and caring. I can't deal. I love this man. Rosey was a pure delight, her positive outlook on life despite some awful things happening to her was just the breath of fresh air Byron needed. She was very much the light in his darkness.

Samantha Brentwood & Jason Clark really gave us the characters Rosey & Byron to perfection. Both are remarkable bringing the characters to life. You could hear how much heart they put into their performance as they captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. They are entertaining storytellers, and their captivating performance keeps you enthralled from beginning to end.

Highly recommend the book AND the audiobook!

Love Fast is the first book in the Colorado Club Billionaires series, a spinoff series from author Louise Bay's standalone novels published last year about six men who formed a brotherhood of trust during their college years.

Fifteen years ago Byron ran away from Star Falls. After what happened to his father, and ultimately what his father had done, he knew the residents of Star Falls talked about him and his family. He could not get away fast enough. He broke all ties with the residents and the town and ran.

During those fifteen years, he made himself a billionaire and has now come home to show the people of Star Falls he is a success and to build his Colorado Club for billionaires and centimillionares.

He is surprised when he does not receive more employment applications from the locals. He remembers them always complaining about having to travel for work. Here he is providing jobs, but no one is interested.

Rosey is a runaway bride. She lands in Star Falls by chance, in her wedding dress. She is tired when she walks in to Grizzly's, where she orders a drink amidst all of the stares. Sitting next to Byron at the bar, she asks about a place to stay for the night. Since all of the places are booked due to the Colorado Club, Byron ultimately offers her the second cabin he rented.

The next morning she heads in to town to get some new clothes. After, she heads to the Colorado Club to see if she can get a job. She has no idea her next door neighbor is the owner.

Byron and Rosey bond in the evenings over hot chocolate while sitting on her porch swing. He is the first man she has been able to be open and honest with. She is the first woman who has no clue who he is. She likes him for him and not his money. They build a mutual trust until a surprise revelation.

They are building a relationship, even though neither wants one. When things change between them, they are not prepared for what will come.

Byron has been keeping a big secret from Rosey. All while he has been showing her that she should be treasured, listened to and not controlled. She has good ideas and he is going to use them to help the Club's rapport with the towns people. He makes sure to tell her she has good ideas and when he implements her ideas, he makes sure to tell her the reactions and responses.

Rosey is learning that she can make decisions for herself. She can depend on only herself, but it is not necessary. She is learning that letting a man in does not mean he will take over, make decisions and run her life. Byron is showing her what it is like to be in an equal relationship.

Until she learns who he really is.

Rosey needs to deal with history repeating itself. She also needs to deal with the way she left Oregon. Plus, she needs to deal with returning her engagement ring and giving her ex-fiance the trailer back. Finally, she needs to deal with her mother. She needs to confront her and say her piece.

As all of this is going on, Byron is learning to make compromises with the towns people. He is building a relationship with the people who think of them as one of him. He is slowly realizing they are family, no matter what. Coming home has taught him to open his mind and his heart.

Both Rosey and Byron have demons that need slaying. But they will need to slay them individually and on their own. The other is there to support them, but the battle is theirs.

I am curious about Rosey's sisters. Will they ever break free from their mother? Here is to hoping we get their stories in a spinoff series.

I am not sure if Byron's friends from New York will be getting their own stories. Here is to hoping we see more of them in future books.

Jason Clarke is delightful in the ears as always. Samantha Brentmoor is one of my absolute favorite female narrators and she does not disappoint in this story. Two first class narrators for this story.

Sooo, I love these narrators but felt the story was just so-so. I wanted humor and hi-jinx, maybe some fun winter activities. Didn’t get any of that. I was disappointed because this is set in beautiful Colorado where I now live and I was hoping for so much more.

Jason Clarke is so awesome.

Byron is back in his hometown with hopes to win over the locals to ease his business venture on the town.

Rosey is a runaway bride who happened to land in Star Falls, Colorado after fleeing her over bearing mother and her wedding.

Rosey has nothing, but the wedding dress on and her mobile phone, when she realizes that she needs a place to stay and there’s no hotel rooms available and the good citizens of Star Falls are pointing her in the direction of Byron Miller.

Byron is happy to put her up for a few nights in an extra cabin, but he feels like they have a mutual attraction.

Funny, heartwarming story about finding one self and learning to trust others with “the true meaning of family”.
