About two thirds through this book of poems, if you start at the beginning and don't deviate, there is a surprise, or revelation, of sorts. I don't really want to mention it because I feel the discovery is both part of the experience and a delightful realization. But I also do want to mention it, at least vaguely, because it re-framed everything i had been listening to up until that point. In any case, these poems are exquisite examples of wordsmithing and storytelling and the narration by Jason Mayoff elevates them to the highest level. Guaranteed to deliver feelings by the truckload that will linger long after the last chapter has passed. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.0x.]
