Who knew life after disaster could be so ssssssweet?
Arthur Cain was a hero to his city, the most accomplished and respected of the firefighters in his entire district. But when a call comes in from the so-called "Halfbreed Heights", the monsterfolk part of the city, Arthur's life gets flip-turned upside down.
Though he saved the life of a matronly lamia that day, he was also partially crippled and forced into early retirement. Now unable to fit the image of her personal superman, Arthur's wife divorces him and leaves him to move into a cheaper home in the same monsterfolk slum that caused his current situation.
To satisfy his daughter's anxiety, he reluctantly agrees to take on a caregiver from the monsterfolk-run service, Maid For You. The twist? She's the serpentfolk daughter of the woman whose life he saved. It ends up being the best decision he's ever made.

Any complaints I have are really minor, but they do hit enough that it keeps it from being a five-star for me. The first real complaint I have is not really getting hardly any family life dynamic at the end. Sure, there's a scene, but I would really have loved more of this, especially when Tanya was still a teenager. Another complaint I have is that we didn't really get to see any interaction between her and his friends. I guess we did eventually do a little bit with Mark, and that was great, but I'm left wanting more. I would have also loved to have seen more interactions with Tanya and Sansa.
Honestly, now that I'm writing all this out, I think my biggest complaints all roll up into one simple thing: they were too isolated aside from any other character interactions together, aside from a few minor interactions with Tanya.
Excellent Overall
