My only gripes are minor. The ground is not a floor. Arrows of a few ounces no matter how forcefully fired cannot throw a man anywhere. And "steed " should be used as little as possible.

I have read a lot of modern literature about Rome and Roman's but the 'Marius Mules' series takes a completely unique view of the Roman Legionaires life and battle rigor.
