Marly refuses to believe her friend Rae committed suicide. Even though her wrists were slit, Marly knows her beautiful, vibrant bestie would never do that.

Even though the two had drifted apart, Marly and Rae made a blood promise long ago. Even in death, Marly intends to honor that vow.

Determined to find Rae’s killer, Marly faces a long list of potential suspects. It seems everyone has secrets or lies that they are covering up...including the boy she loves.

Can Marly uncover the murderer’s identity before she becomes the next victim?

The story is written as a back and forth account of friendship, betrayal and death from Marly’s perspective as if she were sitting there telling you the story of what and how things happened. It was a good story and the narrator did a good job. I do wish the ending told a bit more of what came after for other parties and a few more details of the why and how it transpired.

I am not a lover of suspense (or of language in books), but I picked this book for the title and the cover (the cover looks cool and I love the name Marly). Constantine did a wonderful job in her writing style and did a great job making me a little crazy with suspense. (Spoiler:) Marly goes to pieces for a crappy best friend who ends up pregnant, dead, and causing other deaths. It's a great read, but I was hoping for a bit more resolution at the end and a lot less language throughout. Katie Penate has a great voice , especially for this book and age of character.
I found mispronunciations distracting and sometimes it was hard to follow the dialogue, but over all it was pretty good.

High drama with no resolution

Such a great book. Narrator was very easy to follow and the author did an awesome job explaining things through “flash backs”. Loved the suspense of the book and it was definitely a “page turner”

Loved it!!
