Seaside, NJ is on stage for this book and summer friends from previous summer are back and Veronica Pike develops her first crush. The narrators are amazing.

This is not one of the better ones. The title is misleading. Makes you think Mary Anne is dating many boys on summer vacation (meanwhile she has her boyfriend, Logan, at home.) She goes out with one boy and it's innocent. They don't even kiss.

There was a repeat of Stacey's boy crazy behavior from the last time she and Mary Anne went to Sea City with the Pikes.

I also didn't care for the side stories with Kristy, Jessi and Dawn.

I did like the story with Vanessa's secret admirer poems to the ice cream boy and the misunderstanding that he thought they were from Malory.

2.5 out of 5 Sandcastles.
