Stan is in prison, convicted of a crime he swears he didn’t commit and desperate to prove his innocence. And girlfriend Billie is determined to help him. Kelly, his victim, is struggling to cope after a horrific ordeal that left her traumatised and lonely. For Billie, who has her own secrets and demons in her past, enlisting a private detective to look for vital evidence that might set Stan free is a way out of this nightmare.

Billie has complete faith in Stan, but when she hears Kelly’s version of events, cracks begin to appear and her faith wavers. There are two sides to every story and Billie needs to get to the truth, but the deeper she digs, more lies are unearthed. Who will she believe? And who is really telling the truth?

This book gave me all sorts of feels! It was well written and addictive! It kept my interest the entire time, I couldn't stop listening to it because I could not wait to know the ending! I actually felt anxious the whole time because it was so good!

As I listened to this story, it kept getting better and better, until I couldn't stop listening. Twists and turns, enjoyable characters, interesting plot, as well as an excellent narrator.

Good one!

No way. I do not believe this happens but good job giving rapists more legal defenses than they already have. My gut tells me there’s an agenda here. Talk about painting women as conniving , vindictive and Machiavellian. Misogynistic, imo

Don’t believe it....

While the story was an interesting glimpse into mental health issues, the title is inappropriate, piggybacking off of a movement to make a weak stand for a different movement.

Wrong title, decent story
