A sweet story of it never being the right time. How a commitment once made was kept, even with doubts. But also how love can finally find its way to where it was always meant to be. The performance of Stephen Barnett as always was sincere with a good depth of emotion. I thought this book by Joanne DeMaio was sad. More so than other standalone books I have read of hers. In fact I got a little teary eyed in one part. But overall this was a good book and it left little doubt that this Christmas for Nora and Eddie would be special.

Reed’s Department Store brought back idyllic memories of the former Howland Hughes store in Waterbury, Connecticut. Listening to the story reminded me of childhood visits there with my grandmother.
I enjoyed how the story spanned through several Christmas seasons with ease. Each character had their own special way of flowing in and out of each season. I disliked the narration of the female characters which sounded more like mockery than anything else.
