Week 5: In Depth Entrepreneur Interviews

This is the fifth in a unique eight-week Business Mentoring Programme designed FOR entrepreneurs BY entrepreneurs.

Weeks 5 to 8 of the program delve deeper into the mindset of self-made millionaire entrepreneurs and explore the full range of subjects from Risk to making a million. Each day, for around 30 minutes, you'll hear one entrepreneur share his or her individual story with you, entertaining you, motivating you, and inspiring you as you learn.

  • Day 21: Simon Woodroffe (of BBC's Dragons' Den) explains how to build one of the most outrageous and biggest brands, starting at the age of 40 after getting divorced and with next to no capital or previous track record as an entrepreneur
  • Day 22: Karan Bilimoria describes how to create a revolutionary new product that will dominate an industry. He knows because he did it even when everybody said he had zero chance of succeeding
  • Day 23: Julie Meyer walks you through global start-ups and her experience starting a company simultaneously in 17 countries, and then selling it to start a VC business
  • Day 24: Sir Tom Hunter shares his secrets on how to sell a business for a spectacular sum. He should know! Tom started selling shoes from the back of his car and ended up selling his business for over £280m, making him Scotland's richest man
  • Day 25: Ivan Massow (of Channel 4's Make Me a Million) will tell you how you can start a business from scratch. He started his company from a squat (a communal house with no facilities). Ivan doesn't pull any punches and you'll learn why there are no excuses in business

This review is for the entire series.

Successful entrepreneurs in the United Kingdom are interviewed regarding specific topics on entrepreneurship. There are five or six regulars and an occasional "special guest interviewee." One of the regulars is an American woman ex-pat that makes one wonder why she couldn't have been successful in the USA.

The series is designed so each week is divided into a few minutes each business day with a "homework" assignment to be done over the weekend. Even though the series is British-based the principles are applicable all over the world.

If you own a business or are thinking of starting one, listen to the "Millionaire MBA Programme."
