my husband and I both love this author and purchase nearly every book that she writes except for the really short stories because we don't like to spend a credit on just a three or four hour story but all of her long books are in our library

This book was a surprise in the way that I didn’t see what was happening next. The bad guys were a surprise. What I didn’t care for was the cliffhanger. But, the second book is already available through Audible.

Just book was very boring. I had a very hard time listening to it. i’ve listened to many of Christie Barrett’s books and I almost always loved them but this one I really did not like because it was so boring.
