I really liked this book much better than the first one. I had trouble with the narration in the first one, especially with the female narrator, but this one the female narrator was just perfect. The male narrator was just as good. There was a great deal of plot to the story. Character development was good even though you basically always know how a story is going to end, there were enough plot, twists here and there to make it interesting. This is a solid entry in the resting warrior ranch series.

This book didn’t really capture me… I kept putting it down and pausing the audio. Usually, I would finish this type of trope/book in one sitting, but I kept skimming through it. The plot was okay there are some things that are meeehh. Maybe it’s me, not the book. I probably have read too many books like this that’s why I was looking for it to have something more. Either way, narrators are good 😊
