Meanwhile, a billionaire business tycoon + world-famous oligopolistic neurotechnologist is acquiring vast tracts of territory in the Scottish highlands, proposing to turn his extensive private property into wilderness. His purpose is to establish the world’s greatest pre-hominid habitat and supernatural ecosystem. He hopes the park will become home to rare creatures that humans have helped wipe-out since the last Ice Age. He aims to reintroduce assorted species of untamed creatures, including a number of keystone, non-physical entities.
The mogul has already populated his ‘rewilding park’ with wolves, wild hogs, beavers, and bears. He also proposes to add lynx, a herd of aurochs and a family group of cave lions.
But when Moondog discovers that the mad-science tycoon has ransacked a sacred healing well in the Scottish Borders (the Woolwell Minch) to add to his biodiverse praeternatural portfolio, the investigator becomes uncertain of the billionaire’s honourable intentions.
Does the billionaire keep a wild satyr, half-man and half-beast in his rewilding park? If the reports are true, it will have to be investigated. And is it also true that the billionaire had arranged to introduce a Caspian Calderagon into his artificial ecosystem? Doesn’t the miraculous beast need nourishment? Moondog hopes to bring back the maids that have been lost by his community. And he also wants to see for himself what the billionaire is up to within his ‘rewilding park’. He assumes the two mysteries are linked.
