Quinn MacKenna is on the warpath to save her bartender. Bear-tender...whatever. And it might just break Russia.

In every person’s life, there comes a point where well-meaning people mutter empty Hallmark card platitudes like “it’s all downhill from here” or “the only way to go now is up”.

For Quinn, black magic arms dealer and potential Fae royalty, that time is now.

Fresh after the death of her sole caretaker at the hands of a once-trusted ally, Quinn must forge new alliances and rekindle old friendships if she’s going to recover and find her place in the world.

She just didn’t know step one would take her straight to Moscow...and into the ever-pleasant, rolling hills of Siberia. But there's one thing an Irish gal simply cannot do - leave her bartender behind. Even if it means squaring off against ex-special forces shifter bears.

The newest antihero in the worldwide best-selling Phantom Queen series by Shayne Silvers. Join Cameron O’Connell and Shayne at the literary bar to sip a dirty cocktail of feisty Irish brogue - with an unhealthy splash of monsters - today!

Love the narrator. Great range and a catchy cadence. The stories are great. I always read these books before listening and yet I still react like it's the first time because the performance is so good. Quinn is definitely my favorite character in the Templeverse. Strong, independent, and fiercely protective of her people. Can't wait to listen to the next one.

Great Series

How can you go from killing a bad a$$ Fae that the whole Fae world was terrified of to not being able to take care of herself during the whole damn book? McKenna literally waited to be rescued the whole damn book. This was my least favorite book.

Not my favorite.

I really like the Nate stories (especially Achilles) but I'm really struggling with Quinn.

First, the NARRATOR IS TERRIBLE! I'm not picky about narration, if you can't do the accent DON'T! But don't throw in a badly accented word here and there. And it's always nice when characters in 5 books have distinctive voices so I don't have to stop, reverse, and note which character was speaking. At least her voice isn't irritating.

Then there's the main character and the storyline. Apparently the author has a penchant for self-involved, slightly spoiled main characters. As a female it can be kinda cute and fuzzy with a basically ethical male character BUT with a female it comes off self-absorbed, whiny, and itchy to another female. And hey, Silvers, if she's so good at martial arts and defending herself, why is she so hesitant and helpless so often?

With this book the story is getting too bizarre for my taste. And I like bizarre and suspending my beliefs for a good story. Trying one more to see if it's worth continuing.
