Autumn has arrived in Silver Pines, and the sleepy mountain town is anything but quiet.

With peak leaf-peeping season in full swing, Clare Garner’s charming inn, The Cozy, is packed with tourists eager to spot the perfect golden view. The town square is dressed in pumpkins and pinecones, and Lucy is ready for the “Dog Leaf Jump” doggie event.

But, when a body is discovered, gossip spreads faster than falling leaves. Clare once again finds herself tangled in a mystery that cuts through the crisp autumn air.

As suspects pile up and tensions rise, Clare will have to decide who she can trust—and whether this cozy fall season might turn out to be her most dangerous yet.

I enjoyed book four of the Silver Pines Mysteries series. Lyla does a great job of introducing new characters through the small towns fall festivities. There's continued balance between Clare solving mysteries and her relationships with Jackson and Blake. The cozy feel continues and brings in elements of fall, which I love. Coffee, Taffy and a leaf pile dog contest!
Narrated by Eleanor Claudill and Sebastian York, who make the story entertaining and still keep the cozy mystery vibes throughout the story.

It is Autumn in Silver Pines and business is booming for Clare and other businesses. Many fall activities are occurring and during one of them Clare discovers a body. Certain that the main suspect is innocent, Clare proceeds to investigate.

I enjoyed revisiting with Clare and the many secondary characters. The fun fall theme of the book was something I enjoyed. The mystery was good, and I did not guess the killer right away. I have to say I am not fond of the love triangle in the story, especially since it is looking like it isn't even close to being resolved. Otherwise, the story was enjoyable, and the narrators did a very good job.

An Enjoyable Addition to the Series.

Murder Under the Autumn Leaves is a cozy, small-town mystery filled with charming fall vibes and an engaging whodunit. Set in the picturesque town of Silver Pines during peak autumn season, the story follows Clare Garner as she finds herself once again caught in the middle of a murder investigation.

I loved the atmospheric setting, crisp air, colorful leaves, and community events that make the town feel alive.

Clare is a likable amateur sleuth, and the mystery unfolds at a steady pace with enough twists to keep things interesting. While not overly suspenseful, it’s a comforting, enjoyable read perfect for cozy-mystery fans.

I really enjoyed this installment—especially the creative fall festival activities, which made the setting feel fresh and different. The mystery kept me guessing, and I was genuinely surprised by the killer. The only thing I’m ready to move on from is the love triangle; I’m hoping that wraps up soon. Overall, a fun and engaging listen!
