Can they make it out with their humanity intact?

As the survivors race to find a way out of the city, they encounter unexpected challenges and startling revelations that shatter their understanding of the situation. There's more to this outbreak than the government let on, and it's far deadlier than anyone ever could have anticipated.

In their desperate attempt to stay alive, the survivors are forced to make difficult decisions that will put their humanity and morality to the test. Trapped in their predicaments, they are faced with a terrible realization.

An interesting second book to the series. As I stated in my review of the first book, Heather and Abby definitely have it tougher than the rest of the characters due to Abby’s autism. I think it makes a refreshing character. Having Abby on the spectrum makes their survival a hundred times harder. I am rooting for the both of them to survive, despite seeing an ugliness to Heather I didn’t like but I get it. Her entire life was forced to cater to Abby so there is deep resentment there. The voice actors are doing a splendid job at differentiating the characters. My favorite are Angela and Pierce, I hope they survive until the end along with Heather and Abby. The author has done a great job writing this series and I would recommend it to any horror/zombie lovers.

So we found out that the reason for the zombie outbreak is a parasite and that everyone already has the parasite in their body. Our survivors have to figure out what is triggering the changes. It’s an interesting concept that I haven’t come across yet in a zombie book.

So far the most dislikable character imo is Ben. That infuriating personality of his is gonna be the reason he ends up a manwich for the infected cuz karma always comes calling. I can’t express how much I want him eaten after his actions in this book.
