He thought he’d planned the perfect murder. He didn’t count on her mother.

No body. No witnesses. No proof — or so Doug Stewart thought.

When 32-year-old Venus Stewart vanished outside her parents’ rural Michigan home, police had little to go on. Her husband, Doug, was supposedly hundreds of miles away in Virginia. He’d built the perfect alibi — a friend impersonating him, security footage, even phone calls. But behind the lies was a brutal truth.

This is the story of a woman who feared the man she once loved, and a mother who refused to give up when everyone else did. For months, she searched fields, woods, and rivers for any trace of her daughter. And when Doug was finally convicted without a body, the story wasn’t over — not until Venus’s mother found what she’d been looking for.

Never Forgive, Never Forget is a chilling true account of obsession, deception, and the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child — a case that proves some crimes can’t stay buried forever.

A chilling true story of deception, determination, and a mother’s relentless fight for justice.

I don’t know if the virtual voice ruined it for me, or whether the writing was just that bad, but at times it was like listening to a kindergarten primer. Please don’t keep using virtual voice for your books!

Interesting short story

I kept waiting for something to happen. Terrible all around slow story, monotone voice. Predictable in every way, I will never listen to another virtual voice again.
