Shatina and Max are back for the third installment of the Quiet Ones series. Fooled Me Once ended with a shocking revelation, and although the unlikely duo worked together voluntarily last time, this time someone else is pulling the strings: Max’s ex-girlfriend, Sam.

With a potential murder charge looming over their heads, Shatina and Max are forced to make a risky decision–give in to Sam’s sinister demands or turn themselves in to the police?

With nowhere to run to escape the potential backlash, Shatina and Max become hooked into Sam’s plan. But is there something else bubbling beneath the surface?

Something even Sam never saw coming?

Loved the twist and turns. Stayed on the edge with each short chapter. Couldn’t wait for the next book.

Excellent storyline

This was another fun, messy little thriller from Tanisha Stewart that did exactly what I expected it to do. These stories always throw young adults into situations that spiral way out of control, and the chaos that follows is equal parts ridiculous and entertaining.
I wouldn’t call this a deeply psychological or edge-of-your-seat thriller, but it’s definitely a fast, drama-filled read that keeps you turning pages just to see how much worse things can possibly get. The characters make questionable decisions, the situations get more tangled by the chapter, and honestly, that’s part of the charm. You go into it knowing you’re about to watch a train wreck unfold, and you can’t look away.
It’s not a book that will leave you thinking for days, but it is a book that will keep you entertained while you’re in it. If you enjoy thrillers that lean into the messiness, the over-the-top situations, and the “how did they get themselves into this?” energy, this one delivers exactly that.

Fun Lile Always

This part of the story was just weird. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as memorable as other parts of the story.

Nothing special
