Where does memory end… and something else begin?

Bruce Carter is a broken man in a world that’s already fallen apart—haunted by loss, drifting through the ruins of a collapsing city with nothing left to fight for.

Then everything changes.

When a catastrophe turns the streets into a battlefield, Bruce rescues a young girl who awakens a pain—and a hope—he thought was long buried. Along the way, he meets a woman whose presence reminds him that even in the darkest moments, connection can still exist.

As they flee through a dystopian nightmare of destruction, fear, and silence, the fragile bonds between them begin to form something dangerously close to a family.

But survival is not their greatest enemy.

Something watches from beyond the chaos.
Something far more deliberate than war.
And the truth Bruce is closing in on may be more devastating than anything he’s prepared to face.

Nexus Point: The Awakening is a dystopian sci-fi thriller about memory, grief, and the price of escape.

This story is extremely emotional and will pull at heartstrings. The main character goes through a living he'll with his only child (his Daughter, Sophie) dieing. He is willing to do ANYTHING to save her. Narration was good.

WOW! This is an Emotional Rollercoaster

This is the kind of story that I cant enter in details why I liked without giving spoilers, let me just throw it out there, I went from the usual end of the world story, to silent hill, and then the punch came and we learn what is really going on… yeah I did like this book and I will definitely want to read/listen more by this author. I love when end of the world books take place in Europe, and in this case was in London, since I am European it feels more close to home, and we don’t have access to all the weapons that Americans have, and it felt mysterious. I really liked the relationship between Bruce and little Anna, I mean, I am a mother, and I could bound with him, with his desire to keep the little girl safe.

I was privy to the audiobook, and most of the story is told by the eyes of Bruce, it didn’t affect me so much that it was the same voice narrating, only wish we also had a female voice for when it was needed, but that is a request from a spoiled little me, and doesn’t affect the story, not really.

Just grab a copy for yourself, if you like pretty much unreliable narrators, mysterious circumstances, and found family.

I got a free audible code from the author and this is my honest opinion.

how far would you go to protect someone
