This is my first review and of the many, many audio books I have listened to, the first that inspired me to write a review. I really enjoyed Brett Battles series where Nate plays a secondary role. But here he is the main character and I thoroughly enjoyed the listen. I enjoy it when the good guys kick a** and win the day and hopefully come back to do it again. When the nightly news has nothing but bad news, a book like Night Man helps to keep one's spirits up if only for a short time.

After a string of lackluster listens that I never quite finished, I’m revisiting some past favorites – it's been a couple of years since I last gave them a spin – and honestly, they feel like new discoveries all over again.

Brett Battles and Zach Villa effortlessly bring this tale to life. First off, ”Night Man” deserves a series all its own! My first audiobook by Battles and certainly not my last. I was hoping that he keeps extraordinary narrator Villa. Why, oh why, did they change narrators in some of his other audiobooks? {{{{{Yawwwwwwwn}}}}} I can’t imagine anyone else but Villa. Battles leads us on a unique and adventurous investigation by Nate, a sexy, enticing, addicting and unusual hero and his remarkable and unforgettable cohorts. He is a complex and intriguing hero, and the supporting characters are equally well-developed. I loved the blend of humor, intrigue, and adventure that kept me hooked from start to finish. Along with a few giggles, this story was intricate and captivating. I couldn’t stop listening. “Night Man” definitely goes to the very top of the list in my vast Audible library. “Night Man Chronicles” is a #1 series and I’m thrilled. So highly recommended with 🍒 🍒 🍒 on top. A well-deserved nod to Battles and Villa. An awesome thank you to Audible as well. I'm excited to explore more of the Night Man Chronicles series and highly recommend this audiobook to fellow listeners.

So nice to be engaged in the story and not have to listen to the author's political rants. I anxiously await the next book

Refreshing Mystery

I liked the premise of a guy talking 'orders' from his dead wife to right wrongs. The hero was very likable and believable. I also am a huge fan of vigilante type action stories, and this definitely fit the bill. From the original set up and take down of a robbery group, to the build up from a simple hit and run investigation that morphed into a take down of a drug distribution ring, I was a captive reader. Definitely worth reading - or listening. I will look for more books from Battles in the future.
