Bad idea number 241: sending a dirty text to your number neighbor.

In my defense, my friends did it, too, and their neighbors took it as the joke it was. Mine didn't. He responded with a dirty text of his own. Next thing I know, I have a standing texting date every night at 10:30.

Until I have to miss it because the stray kitten who adopted me one week ago is sick. The only person I know who can help me at this time of night is my British next-door neighbor and local vet, Isaac Cooper.

I'll keep him overnight, he says. Here's my number to call me in the morning, he says. The problem? I know that number.

Because I've been texting it every night for the last four days....

This was a cute story. Simple, funny, and light reading. Less of a number neighbor and more of a neighbor neighbor trope. Hannah and Isaac were cute together, but truly, Lucifer was my favorite character. :)

Both narrators did a great job at bringing the characters to life.

I enjoyed this book. After a couple heavier books this was perfect. Low angst, cute cats, hot British guy. What more do you need?!

Both narrators did a fabulous job as well.

I started this book because I saw someone reviewed it on TikTok. I had high hopes, and at first I thought it was going to be amazing. Unfortunately, it’s extremely underwhelming. The female character is unreasonably aggressive. She keeps mentioning how her cat is evil yet the cat has done nothing but sleep the entire three hours that I have listened. the grandmother get treated horrible, why because she a spunky, older woman? I’m not sure how the male character in the book keeps trying to go after her as poorly as she treats him, even though she’s the one that initiated the neighbor text message. I will not finish this book sadly.
