Great new character. A cat who can not only hold her own in the supernatural world, but who possesses the grit and determination to follow her heart no matter the consequences. A fun ride!!!

I loved how it was more interesting than expected. The world is well built. I loved the depth of werecat descriptions and the difference between cat instincts and wolf ones. Jackey has a good emotional bandwidth and growth as the story goes on. The villains in the story were sort of unexpected and it was a good ending.

This is my first book by this author and I'm impressed. I love Jackie and how she fought for Carrie. The mystery is well written and fast paced . The world created for the characters to live in is sold and realistic. The characters are engaging and fully fleshed out. The characters are so realistic that I had to take a break from the book a couple of times because I was worried about the characters. Savannah Gilmore did a great job as narrator. She brought out the vulnerability and strength in both Jackie and Carrie. She really did a great job. I hope she continues with this series and I look forward to reading more books by K N Banet in the future.
