Ivan & cora relationship seemed realistic they seem to be trauma bonded which occurs in real life more than we know. It makes the storyline more believable for the intense feelings they had for each other so quickly.. I enjoyed this book it keeps your attention all way through the only thing I wasn't fan of was what author didn't put in the story. Which was what happened with birth of Cora & Ivan's baby. it would've been better if it told lil bout baby and let us know how they adapted to being first time parents while running am empire!

The narrator has zero understanding of the tone required for this novel. I think the narrator must be AI. It makes zero sense for the tone of what should be occurring. It ruins the intent and excitement because of the matter of fact tone throughout the whole novel. What a waste of time!
