Before I bought this set of books, I read excerpts on Facebook and was taken aback by Dan’s straightforwardness, but I get it now. Hold nothing back, let loose, and enjoy the ride of life. Sometimes I was reminded of playing spin the bottle in the garage as a kid; other times, I saw the eyes of the woman who would become my wife for the first time; and still others, the love we feel for the magic of life itself. I was no longer taken aback, but I was all in as Dan weaved through mystery, passion, and self-love. I listened to this book before its companion, “Of Living,” which I would recommend. Dan was brilliant in keeping these short-that shortness leaves you wanting for more, which I think is the point. Go out and find it all for yourself, and let nothing hold you back, as this journey of life might be complicated, but it’s ours, and it’s short.
