It’s his first night in London. And her last…

Ruby’s leaving London. She’s not running away from her ex per se, but an exciting opportunity in a new city has landed at the perfect time.

Nic is moving to London. After a bad break-up, he’s excited to see where big-city life could take him.

When a chance meeting throws the pair of them together for just one night, it’s clear that this could be the start of something special. But there’s one problem: she’s leaving, and he’s just arriving. So, after tonight, they’ll never see each other again . . . will they?

From the international bestseller comes a story of two strangers, two cities, and one night that changes everything.

loved it start to finish, not really a romantic novelist person, but this was more a day in the life of rather than a sappy romance. thoroughly enjoyed it.

The story had good bones but the details felt unbelievable and underdeveloped. The writing seemed immature. Too much inane detail, too little character development. This story seemed to skip important relationship developments for every character. It reached levels of intimacy that felt unearned or inappropriate. For instance, the main character meets the elderly man who the story orbits and tells him, in one of their very first conversations, about how she had sex with someone three times in one night and one of the times was unprotected. This is not something you would tell someone you just met, much less a 95 year old man.
Too bad because the narrators are superb, but I still couldn't finish the listen.

Enjoyable listen. Love Charlotte Beaumont as the female narrator, and the story is funny and heartfelt.

The story line left much to be desired. I chose this book purely because Charlotte Beaumont narrated and if it wasn’t her I don’t know if I would have finished. I wasn’t excited to get to the end, I was relieved to get to the end. The back and forth was tiresome, both in the story line and narration.

I was glad to be done.
