I first read this book 30 years ago, when we were raising our kids. Now that we have grandkids, I read it again to see how much of these ideas still apply. WOW, does it ever! ...and it *still* applies to my now-adult children and many other relationships that can display child-like behaviors from time to time (like a pouting spouse, an overbearing mother-in-law, an impatient boss, a lazy co-worker, or stubborn friend). This was definitely worth a re-read, especially for consideration beyond the typical younger parent-child scenario!

My husband and I have been at our wit's end dealing with our threenager! We started reframing the way we speak to him and the difference in his reaction was noticeable within the hour.
