"Listen my children and you shall hear of the midnight ride of Paul Revere." This opening line, from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's tribute poem "Paul Revere's Ride", celebrates a highlight of this Boston-born folk hero's life and times. Like many of his contemporaries, Paul Revere was not only a businessman and family man, but also a soldier and spy. Minutemen were patriots ready at a moment's notice to serve the cause of the Revolution.©2002 The Rosen Publishing Group, Inc. (P)2008 Audible, Inc. Historical Biographies

A textbook at best. Do not waste your children’s time. History should be taught in the form of a story — my children LOVE revolutionary war history and asked me specifically to find a biography of Paul Revere. After listening to the first 10 minutes of this they disappointedly asked me to please not make them continue, and I completely agreed. I feel so sad to think that any child should be asked to learn history in this form.

Dull, dull, DULL!
