This is a feel good book with a lot of life lessons. His extraordinary passion for songwriting, his positive outlook and refusal to give up and a good deal of luck made for a happy ending in the midst of great difficulties.

Permission to Fly was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I added it to my library. It was so enjoyable! Mr. Martine has led an amazing life full of blessings and heartaches. Even when touched by tragedy, he has had such a positive outlook regarding his life and his wonderful marriage of many years. I highly recommend this book!
