This was a really good story for me until the last 2.5 hours. The MCs did not rush in to the romance and took plenty of time to get to know each other. The H went to the defense of the h without stepping over her and he showed pure respect in their work environment.

Two parts took a full star away for me.

1. The h runs from the H when she comes across a situation that infers that he has done something wrong without getting his side. That is always a frustration and is a sign of immaturity in the character.

The head-slap part for me is when the h tells our H that if she knew about said situation in the beginning, she would never have given him a chance!

2. The bulk of the last couple of hours was taken up by male/female pay disparity. It is an important issue and must be corrected; however, it took up nearly 25% of the story and, at times, felt more like a rant instead of the story. Cut the time dedicated in half and it would have been just as meaningful.

I will definitely read other books from the author.

I could follow this one and didn't feel like it was all bulls*×t. I was also happy that they didn't end up accidentally pregnant like so many others I have read recently. It has been annoying to see it so much. I love the school and the girls involved. This has a good message. Props to the narrators. A very good performance.

I really enjoyed this book, even the parts that made me uncomfortable. It isn't just a romance, it's a commentary on how women are treated in the workforce and at first that was annoying, but the more I listen to it, the more I was inspired by it. The reason I'm writing this review has more to do with Steven Dexter than anything else. I've listened to other books he's narrated but I've never listened to one where he didn't accent. he made this book. I completely believed that he was Australian. The story was good. The narration was great. Definitely recommend!
