How realistic is it to believe that one lover can satisfy a woman's every fantasy?

Nia Simone Bijou is a woman who has it all - and is driven by the desire for more. Born in Trinidad, reared in Los Angeles, living in Atlanta, Nia is a writer, a thinker, and a woman in conflict. She's dealing with two sides of her Gemini self, feeling as if there are two women living inside her, both struggling for domination.

One side of Nia is a logical yet heartbroken person who has never let go of an old pain. The other side is a sensual woman who will not let her rest, desiring intimacy and sexual freedom, demanding pleasure.

In the sweltering heat of July, loneliness, desire, and a struggle with both the sensual self and fantasy inspire Nia to become sexually adventurous, meeting lovers who arouse her in diverse ways, lovers who give her unimaginable experiences, generous lovers who desire to please her as much as she desires to satisfy them. Fantasies spiral out of control, and with her life on the line, Nia discovers that pleasure does not come without pain.

Filled with passion, populated with characters that are sexually uninhibited, Pleasure is an unforgettable journey into a free-spirited world.

I really loved this book and hated that it had to end, and the way it ended. I want a sequel. I see that not many people liked the book, but I LOVED it! It's very free and open, not at all real, not in my world.

What made the experience of listening to Pleasure the most enjoyable?

This book took me into a world of realistic fantasy....Nia did things that men do all the time and most women wish they could....the more I listened the more I wanted to know about her and her twin sins....

What other book might you compare Pleasure to and why?

I am looking for more books like this, page turning/ear grabbing...I love the graphic details

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Susan Spain?

The narrator was EXTREMELY monotone...made the book have a slow start....wish I could have narrated it myself......I am gonna steer clear of books narrated by her

Who was the most memorable character of Pleasure and why?

All of the characters were....Nia, Mark, Karl, Kiki, & Jewel...its obvious, but I can't give the book away

Any additional comments?

I wish there was a different ending or perhaps a sequel can give us another look into the lives of Nia, Mark, Karl, & Jewel

I was in a hurry and did not read all the reviews, although well-read and well-written, it was an endless listening experience of sex and erotica, which after a while can be BORING.....and much of the listening was simply unbelievable, come on, the wife walks in on the mistress with her husband, a fight ensues bewteen hubby and wife, and before it's over the wife and husband are locked in lust, while the mistress watches, all in the mistress' bedroom. Again, very well-read by the narrator, and entertaining if you just want to listen to sex talk, however, no substance, no real storyline and definitely not a love story...dissappointed..
