Nearly eighty years ago, the town of Port Luck was a thriving community in the wilds of Alaska. That was until a series of unexplained deaths and disappearances forced the townspeople to abandon their home.

I didn't expect much from this book but was pleasantly surprised that I actually enjoyed it. Alaskan horror without too much gore.

I didn't like that.The hunter goes into the woods and smells a deer when it's probably below zero weather

The characters were weak.I didn't think the police were very professional.

I am usually not into monster stories but the writing was FABULOUS by this author. And the story plot was GREAT! Anyone that likes these type books will love it. Anyone that doesn't usually read this genre but likes being scared will like this.

I listen to this story because I know about the story of Portlock, Alaska and I wanted to see what the author could do with it. I expected a Big Foot but was pleasantly surprised when the author introduce me to a new myth, an Adlet. This story makes me want to learn about more mythical creatures of Alaska.

The main characters are interesting, easy to tell apart and I came to support them which is why I hate the ending.

I will explore more stories by this author .
