Kiss him, sleep with him, but don’t ever fall in love with him.

The first time Wes Archer steps into Jack of Clubs, an exclusive London pleasure club, he’s completely confident he can heed the tried-and-true advice about becoming an escort. Wes gives himself away for free with casual hookups all the time. Why not make some cash doing what he already loves? And cash is something he desperately needs. His brother’s gambling addiction has taken their family’s home, saddled Wes with insurmountable debts, and compromised his chances for finishing his degree.

Accepting an offer to spend a few hours of fun with a rich bloke will be a simple business transaction, right?

Wrong.

Wes’s first client is Cormac Reilly. The handsome billionaire is grumpy, funny, and commanding in a way that unlocks desires Wes never knew he had. Cormac is icily determined to keep their arrangement strictly business, but that doesn’t stop Wes from finding him fascinating.

As their one-night contract becomes something much more, Wes can’t deny he’s falling for his client. He knows he’s flouting all the rules, but breaking down Cormac’s barriers is an irresistible challenge, and his reward might be the best prize of all — love.

From bestselling author Lily Morton comes a passionate love story set in London and Paris about two astonishingly different men and one very pretty mess.

This was insanely hot. Like… Lily Morton really said let me write the steamiest book of my career and she succeeded. I think this is easily one of her hottest stories and I loved every second of it.

And for anyone saying there was too much spicy content, let’s remember something very basic. Wes is an escort. His entire introduction to Cormac and the whole reason they even start spending time together is rooted in intimacy. Of course most scenes were going to be sexy. That is literally how their feelings begin to shift. That is how the walls start to come down. It makes sense in the story and it worked perfectly for them.

I absolutely adored watching them navigate the power imbalance. The way they slowly flipped it and found their own balance was done wonderfully. I loved the aching, the push and pull, and the exact moment you feel Wes start falling for him. And Mac… the way he kept trying to stay in control while still showing he cared so deeply. The small gestures, the quiet moments, the vulnerability he hated admitting. All of it made them feel so real.

I just loved this. The heat, the tenderness, the growth, every single piece of it. Perfect.

The issue with Taylor broke something in me, it affected me a lot.

And Julian’s friendship was perfection. I adored him as a character and definitely hope we get a story for him… and maybe Fox.

The narration distracted me from this wonderful Lily Morton story. It was like listening to really hot sex read by an elderly Dickinsian shopkeeper. The characters were fairly easy to tell apart, but none of them sounded like real people. I realized that reading this book was going to be ever so much better than listening to it. And it was.

Excellent storyline, narration not so much

Edit to add: Joel Leslie’s narration in the audio version is amazing as always. Just is good the second time AND now I want Julian and Brandon’s story even more…

Yes yes yes yes. Can I have some more please?

🎧 Absolutely hooked from the first minute!
Wes becomes an escort to pay off his brother’s debts, never expecting his first client—Cormac, a guarded billionaire—to completely change his world. What starts as business turns into something deep, emotional, and so steamy.

The chemistry between Wes and Mac? Off. The. Charts. 🔥 It’s passionate, heartfelt, and beautifully romantic.

I’ve always loved Lily’s books, but this one is hands-down my favorite. And with Joel Leslie narrating? Pure perfection. He brings Wes and Mac to life with flawless accents and every ounce of emotion.

If you want a romance that makes you blush, swoon, and feel every beat, this audiobook is an absolute must-listen! 💞

I am really hoping we get to see what Julian and Fox are up to soon! 🤔

While being a light reading with a classic rich-older-man-buys-sexual-favours-with-younger-in-financial-troubles-man and then they fall in love against all odds… the story is so sweet, well paced, heartfelt and the characters so well written you can believe you’ve seen them downtown and definitely heard gossip about them.
There’s hardly any chapter without the hottest smut which is way more than your typical MM romance. And then there’s Joel giving voice and spark and soul to each character and sounding the smut in your ears hotter than hell. I mean… I would do anything Mac told me to in a heartbeat as well.
I’ve listened to some of the best author-Joel combos (N. R. Walker’s Spencer Cohen and Cronin’s key and Red Dirt, Vawn Cassidy’s Dead Serious, Lily Morton’s Blue Billings, K.A. Merikan’s Laurent and the Beast, Davidson King’s Snow Falling - this one has two narrators but I am referring to Joel here, Charlie Novak’s Roll for Love and not lastly at all Tal Bauer’s Hush…) and this one is really really good as well.
Enjoy!

Wonderful listen, heartfelt story!
