I don’t know if this was book 2 in a series or if it was just written badly but, (I checked audible to see if I missed a book and couldn’t find a series)the back story wasn’t really developed and because of that I felt as though I had missed a lot from the beginning. I wanted to relate to a couple of the characters but there wasn’t much to relate to. I ended up speeding the book up to 1.7 just to get through it and honestly, had I spent a credit on it, I would have returned it after the first hour. I like scary books and this was not scary or believable by any means. I know there were werewolves in it, but even the police in New York were stereotypes and bad ones at that. Everyone that had a gun did stupid things as though it were the Wild West and at one point the cops wouldn’t shoot a bad even though he was shooting cops and everyone else he could but, when a good guy with a gun is in the same area they killed him without hesitation. It was stupid.
