This first book in the Sanctuary series was a wonderful introduction to the series. The introduction to the men of Sanctuary, including Smoke, along with Sam, had me eagerly wanting to see how the relationship between Smoke and Sam would play out. AUDIO: The narration by Luke Valere, was a welcome addition.

I found this an entertaining and enjoyable book. I really liked Steve and thought that he was definitely an example of a true hero. Sam was sweet and easy to like. The story was well written and the narrator made it easy to listen to. I thought he did a very good job with all the character’s voices and emotions. I won this audiobook in a giveaway and am happy to give this unbiased review.
