The faculty of the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University presents Puppy's First Steps: The Whole-Dog Approach to Raising a Happy, Healthy, Well-Behaved Puppy, edited by Nicholas H. Dodman, BVMS, MRCVS, with Lawrence Lindner.

This is a book for enlightened dog owners - a groundbreaking, "whole-dog" approach to raising a puppy, from the halls of one of the most prestigious and pioneering veterinary schools in the world. Nowhere else will readers find this whole-dog approach, a unique combination of training, behavior, and health care.

Covering everything from how to pick a puppy, what to feed him, and how to house train, to why puppies behave the way they do and what to do in a host of medical situations, Puppy's First Steps is the only book a puppy owner will need.

I expected this to be all "puppy talk" but it was so much more. It truely gives insight to why dogs do the things they do and how they read us and the things we do. I've been a dog lover for decades and shared my home with dogs most of my life, but still learned a lot from this book. It's full of useful information for anyone who lives with, works with, or just loves dogs - of any age. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

More than I expected

The reading of this book so bland it's hard listen to. Buy the book, NOT the Audible

Good book, terrible delivery

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Good general book about all different aspects of raising a puppy, from choosing one to training it, to taking care of it if it gets sick. Very informative, well written, and broad. Good reader who was easy, and pleasurable to listen to, with the small exception of some terrible mispronunciations of medical words, and chemical names.

Good Book, Good Reader
